Hamilton CBD Update

  • Rosser Underwriting have relocated to their new premises at 517 Anglesea Street, below BTW Group
  • Creative Waikato have just moved in to their new premises next to The Game Centre in Garden Place
  • Bettie Monroe are opening a pop-up shop this week only in Casabella Lane (4 days only)
  • ASB has this week moved into their stunning new premises on the corner of Bryce & Barton Streets
  • Hong’s Kitchen is now set up and operating from the former Hogs Breath Café premises in Hood Street
  • A community special children’s therapy play centre will be established in Harwood Street shortly, situated behind Fromage Café

  • Waikato District Health Board are getting closer to the completion of the exterior of the former Farmers Trading building on the corner of Anglesea/ Collingwood/Alexandra Streets
  • Wintec have now demolished their earthquake prone buildings fronting Ward Street and this is now being used for car parking
  • The earthquake prone former David’s Emporium has been demolished in readiness for a new build opportunity
  • Perpetual Guardian (formerly known as Guardian Trust) have leased the ground floor corner of Bryce & Anglesea Streets, below the Education Review Office in the former PwC Building
  • Hamilton Central Business Association (HCBA) has been allocated an activation fund of $100,000 per year for three years by Hamilton City Council to bring activities and events to the CBD’s four major spaces – Garden Place, Civic Square, Victoria on the River and Embassy Park.
