Ear Nurse Chosen To Speak At International Event

Theresa O’Leary, Ear Nurse Consultant at Tolbecs Ear Centre in the Waikato, has been invited to participate in a nursing panel at the 20th International Symposium on Recent Advances in Otitis Media (Glue Ear), in Hollywood USA, next June.

“During my career I have been asked to present my expertise to health professionals across New Zealand and in Australia. Unfortunately, the down fall to many of these opportunities is the lack of funding provided by the organisations hosting them. I have self-funded the majority” Says Theresa.

“Last year I was invited to present within the inaugural nursing panel during the biannual Otitis Media Conference held at the Gold Coast, Australia. I presented ’30 years of Taringa Hoi (Glue Ear) in New Zealand, A NZ Nurses Perspective’; to an audience of nurses, educators, researchers, professors, doctors, ENT specialists and nurses.”

Theresa is seeking funding/sponsorship to attend the symposium. To assist: Theresa O’Leary, theresa@tolbecs.co.nz, 027 416 2633.
